St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Historic Preservation – Parish Hall Roofing

The roof of the Parish Hall at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Spotswood, NJ was suffering from age and wind damage. Winds had recently removed sections of shingles, exposing the shingles underneath. There were three layers of shingles (and cedar shakes over the older section) on this roof. M&M Construction Specialist stripped the roof down to expose the wood sheathing and removed all of the old cedar shakes. New plywood sheathing was placed over the area that was previously cedar shake. New GAF Timberline shingles, ice and water shield underlayment, and ridge vent were installed. A new flat roof was placed on the low-slope of the building.
